Barnes in the Community
All around the globe, Barnes employees act locally to uplift the communities where they live, work and learn. These are only a few examples of recent efforts to make life better for everyone.
Barnes Molding Solutions’ facility in China raised money to support Turkey and its surrounding countries affected by a devastating earthquake in February 2023. They raised around $3,400 to donate to the Red Cross Society of China, which provided numerous emergency supplies to Turkey.
The Barnes Aerospace's Lansing team members collected and donated gifts benefiting nearly 50 children in the immediate area! The angel gifts collected included learning & development toys, tablets, art supplies, gift cards, and much more.
The Molding Solutions’ Peabody team hosted a Giving Tree to gather Christmas gifts for 30 families through Family Services of the Merrimack Valley.

A Legacy of Learning
The Barnes Group Foundation is strongly committed to strengthening education in our communities. Through our matching gift program, the Foundation encourages Barnes employees, directors, and spouses to financially support primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities and community learning facilities. The Foundation has supported more than 500 schools and cultural centers across the globe.
Building Culture
We believe that healthcare and the arts in all forms are crucial components to building a strong community culture. Through matching gifts for employees, directors and spouses, the Foundation encourages financial support of the arts and healthcare organizations.
Raising Spirits Through the United Way
Through annual contributions, the Barnes Group Foundation helps the United Way empower local organizations to build services ranging from disaster relief and crisis intervention, to daycare and youth development—and many other critical points of compassion along the way.
Preserving the Environment
The Barnes Group Foundation is a significant contributor to several environmental causes throughout the world. Once such example is the Harry C. Barnes Memorial Nature Center at the Indian Rock Preserve. Through the gifts from the Barnes Group Foundation, this preserve has educated thousands of school children in the local area regarding the beauty and history of their natural surroundings and the importance of preserving that beauty for generations to come.
