Barnes Group Foundation Scholarship Program

The Barnes Group Foundation, Inc. has established a Scholarship Program to assist the children of Barnes employees who plan to pursue post-secondary education by enrolling in college or a technical vocational program. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Eligibility
Applicants must be children of active or deceased Barnes Worldwide employees.
-
Eligible children are defined as age 30 or under.
-
Active employees must have been employed by the company six months as of the application deadline date (March 1).
-
Children of an employee who died while actively employed are eligible, provided that the employee had at least five years of service at date of death, and that the child applies for a scholarship within five years of the employee’s death.
Applicants must be students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time* course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school, or graduate school.
*Brazilian students may be enrolled part-time.
Awards
The program is open to all Barnes worldwide employees, and scholarships will be awarded for graduate study as well as undergraduate. If selected as a recipient, students will receive an award ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 (U.S. dollars)!
Applications are being accepted online now through March 1, 2025.
Please note that applications will only be accepted online.
In accordance with United States tax laws, we are limited to granting awards to only 25% of our eligible applicants. Therefore, the more eligible applicants we receive, the more scholarships we can grant, so please apply today! Even if you have previously applied and did not receive a scholarship, we encourage you to apply again, as you are still eligible to receive an award!
Undergraduate awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent is earned, whichever occurs first. Graduate awards are renewable one time or until graduate degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in full-time study and continuation of the program by Barnes Group Foundation, Inc.
International students are strongly encouraged to apply. Awards can be used for education related expenses (tuition, fees, books, supplies, room/board, and transportation).
